Planning a destination wedding for the fall? Whether you’re eagerly eloping in a few months or organizing a shimmering shindig for next year, it’s safe to say you want a place that’s, in a word, perfect. Have no fear, fiancées! Of all the gorgeous places to go, it may seem impossible to choose a location. That’s why we’re here to help! If your heart is always at the ocean, you might want to look into Rosemary Beach. About 30 minutes outside of Destin, Florida, this luxurious and laid-back beach community provides an intimate setting with an upscale European vibe. With enchanting architecture and charming boutiques just steps from a picturesque ocean view, this Gulf Coast getaway was made for saying “I do.”

Where To Fly

If you’re whisking away on a jet plane, the closest city to fly into is Panama City Beach. Once you arrive in this smallish and easy-to-navigate airport, your drive to Rosemary is only about 20 minutes. Rent a car or skip it because this lovely beach location is 100% walkable. With a savory selection of restaurants minutes from your hotel or beach house, you can stroll hand-in-hand to all of your pre-wedding events and any romantic rendezvous.

Where To Stay

Rosemary Beach is bursting with adorable places to kick back and cuddle. From swanky hotels to the most precious carriage houses you’ve ever seen, they offer a range of lodging that ranges in price. If you do your research, you can find some great deals on quaint one-bedroom condos that are within ten minutes to the beach. If you’re curbing your budget on other expenses and wanting to splurge on something fancy, The Pearl is a treasure of a hotel in the heart of Rosemary, and wonderful for an all-inclusive feel. Plus, they have wedding packages, so you don’t have to leave, if you don’t want to!

Where to Eat

If you’re staying at The Pearl, they’re equipped with an exquisite restaurant, catering to sophisticated palates and not-so-sophisticated palates alike. With a menu that’s inspired by the classics and given a twist, everyone in your wedding party will be pleased as punch. For a more quick and casual bite, Cowgirl Kitchen is located on the same street, and is delicious and delightful. Enjoy the ambience and the yummy dishes, especially the grouper taco salad. It’s uh-ma-zing. You need it. Just a short bike ride from Rosemary, you’ll find even more tasty places to dine. Take 30A to the various beach communities from next-door Seacrest or Alys Beach. George’s is relaxed fine dining at its best, a perfected pairing of a meticulous menu and impressive service. To save a few dollars, stop by for lunch, bring your bridesmaids, and dish before the big day.

Where To Shop

If you need classy, yet affordable gifts for your guests, Rosemary Beach is a shopper’s dream. Trust us on this one. Want to create some awesome gift baskets? CK Feed and Supply has all-things-gourmet—decadent cheeses, delish dips, and wine! They even have Backpack Wine™ for your beach excursions. WHAT. With reasonable prices for unique finds, you can’t go wrong. Looking to flatter your younger guests? Try Stellar. Their inventory is SO. FUN. Think trendy makeup bags and unicorn erasers. Yes, we said unicorns. If you’ve checked out every store in the vicinity (there are so many good ones!), you might try a short drive to Seaside for, you guessed it, more shopping! For an extra treat, try Mercantile. They have a seriously sumptuous selection of items from clothing to art to last-minute tablescape décor. But you’ll really say “I do” at the cash wrap. Once you make a purchase, they ask you if you want a margarita. Again, WHAT. You’ll be just as excited as the day you said yes.

Getting married is an exciting adventure, so wherever you go, choose a place that reflects you as a couple and fits your budget. A destination wedding at Rosemary would not only be beautiful, but would also be easy on your wallet—say your vows, party at your reception, and wander off on your honeymoon, all in the same place. Saving a little on your wedding day will be a sweet start to your happy ever after.
