Are you a hardcore deal hunter, but only for yourself? I’m guilty. Sometimes, I’ll be frantically shopping for a bargain when I realize the last 10 things I purchased for other people were at full price. Well, not anymore, and it begins with kids’ clothes!
I regularly shop for my nieces, nephews, and great-nieces, but I need to start whittling down the cost for all their cute little pieces. Now’s my chance to start: I’ve researched a few ways to save online when buying kids’ clothes, and I’m sharing them with you below.
Newsletter sign-ups: The Children’s Place offers $10 off a purchase of $40+ simply by signing up for email offers. It is worth the trouble, because The Children’s Place features shirts starting at $5, free shipping on every order, and clearance up to 80% off. My favorites included girls’ dresses and rompers (including fun 4th of July prints) and boys’ clearance tees starting at $3.15.
- 70% off clearance
- $10 off your order
Secret deals: Get on Boden’s mailing list, and make sure you add your birthday: I’ve had tremendous luck with Boden, and just recently received a “$15 off any order” coupon in the mail. Their quality is incredible, and I absolutely love their designs, from stripes to flowers to cool retro prints. Swing by Mini Boden for high-quality graphic tees, reversible pieces, and zip-off cargos for the active boy; scoop up jersey sundresses, vintage-print pieces, and broderie for girls.

- Get 15% off and free shipping
- Get premium shipping for only $7 (Boden’s shipping can take a while!)
Going for multiples: A lot of kids’ stores are doing it, and I think it’s brilliant: BOGO deals on branded items, or discounts for multiple items of the same type. We know how tough kids can be on clothes, and getting an identical piece in a much-loved print or silhouette saves you a ton of trouble. This time, I ran into Jacadi’s great Liberty sale (buy one, get one 30% off). I loved the sleep sack and leather booties for the littlest ones.
- $15 flat-rate shipping
- Spring arrivals from $10
- Free gift wrap with purchase
Go-anywhere pieces: Browsing Gap Kids, I ran into a lot of cool finds that made me realize just how versatile it is. I get Gap stuff for work all the time, but why not do it for kids’ pieces, too? Tank dresses at Gap Kids could be layered over 3/4-sleeve tops, and lightweight scarves can be added to fight chill. And then all the cardigan options over these dresses means you won’t scramble for outfits in the morning.

Happy Shopping, my friends!
